FARGO—Fargo Shanley's Anna Triller is one of nine who signed national letters of intent Wednesday to play soccer at North Dakota State.
Triller is a midfielder who was an all-state selection as a junior and was a three-time North Dakota state all-tournament team selection. As a senior, she was named Shanley's most valuable player.
"Anna is a big reason Shanley has been so successful in soccer and we expect her to bring that same success to NDSU," NDSU head coach Mark Cook said. "She is the typical midfielder ... very good on the ball and brings effort to everything she does."
NDSU also signed two-time all-state forward Mariah Haberle on Robbinsdale Armstong (Minn.); all-conference goalkeeper Monica Polgar of Cupertino, Calif; goalkeeper Lindsey Schweitzer of Bismarck St. Mary's; all-star midfielder Laura Powell of Chanhassen, Minn.; sisters Rachel and Emily Boyer, forwards from Mounds View, Minn.; all-state forward Leah Emerson of Rapid City, S.D.; and defenseman Julia Densmore of Pleasanton, Calif.
NDSU finished the 2015 season with a 13-6-1 overall record and claimed the Summit League's regular-season championship with a 7-0-1 record. The Bison lost their Summit League tournament championship match.
