Dear Classes of 1981, 1982 and 1985:
This is a Deacon Alert to inform you of the passing of Randy Allen Coryell ('82) on Sept. 20th.
Randy was a member of the Class of 1982 and the brother of Chuck Coryell ('81), Craig Coryell ('85) and Kristi (Coryell) Carter.
Randy Allen Coryell, Baltimore, MD, formerly Fargo, passed away unexpectedly at his home on September 20, 2016.
Randy was born June 5, 1964 in Moorhead, MN to Stanley and Judith (Unruh) Coryell. Randy attended Washington Elementary, Holy Spirit and graduated from Shanley High School in 1982. After graduating, Randy at- tended UND. He then moved to California where he be- gan his career as a master carpenter and builder. Randy built custom homes and structures in California, Colora- do, Maryland, Virginia and the D.C. area. He was an all around handyman, enjoying his work and always ready to help family and friends on renovation projects.
Randy was also a lifelong hunter and fisherman, enjoy- ing his many trips with his brothers, son and nephews. Trips to Canada were common, starting at an early age and continued to his last trip this August. Randy will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Randy was a loving father to three kids; Alexa (Will) Warthen, London, England, Brenna Horris, and James (Kellie) Horris, both Baltimore, MD, grandchildren Chan- ning and Troy Warthen and Emelia Horris. Randy is sur- vived by his mother Judy Coryell, Fargo; brothers Chuck (Tammy) Coryell, Montross, VA and Craig Coryell, Cor- pus Christi, TX; one sister, Kristi (Scott) Carter, Fargo; nephews Christopher and Cale Coryell; nieces Aundra, Grace and Emily Carter. Randy leaves behind many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his father Stanley Coryell, grandparents William and Beulah Unruh, John and Flor- ence Coryell, an uncle, Darwin Coryell; cousin Stephanie Nordhagen.
A celebration of Randy’s life will be held on Saturday, October 15” at 1pm at Grace (Knollbrook) Covenant Church in Fargo, ND.
