This is a Deacon Alert to inform you of the passing of Shannon (Fettes) Farha on Tuesday, Aug. 2nd.

Shannon was the daughter of your classmate, Gary Fettes ('62) and his wife, Sharon.




Shannon (Fettes) Farha passed away on Tuesday August 2nd surrounded by family. Shannon was born on November 10th 1972 to Gary and Sharon Fettes (Erickson) in Fargo ND. Shannon was a graduate of Fargo North High School & received her bachelor’s degree from the University of North Dakota in - chology & criminal justice then went on to earn her master’s degree in vocational rehab from the University of Wisconsin (Madison). Shannon was employed by the VA regional office as the VR&E Officer for the Dakotas. Shannon enjoyed outdoor activities, reading, spending time at her parent’s lake home and camping with family. Shannon married Patrick Farha on May 29th 1999 and is survived by Patrick and their two daughters Bailey (15) and Kaelyn (13). Shannon is also survived by her parents Gary & Sharon Fettes (Erickson), sister Shari (Barry) Hanson, sister Denise Scufsa, sister Cathy (DJ) McCracken, brother-in-law Darron (Kelli) Farha & mother-in-law Dianne Farha (Negley). Shannon was also survived by nieces & nephews Allison Hanson, Kali Scufsa, Megan Hanson, Erika Hanson, Taylor McCracken, Reed Hanson, Carlson Farha, Brady Scufsa, Stevi Farha, Parker Scufsa, Reese Scufsa and Sammy Farha - she was very close to them all. She is also survived by numerous Aunts & Uncles. She was preceeded in death by grandparents Dennis & Dorothy Erickson, grandparents Lawrence & Margaret Fettes, father-in-law Carlson Farha & brother-in-law Kevin Scufsa. There will be a celebration of life BBQ in her honor on Saturday August 27th starting at 5pm to midnight at the Elks in North Fargo. Friends and family are invited to share an evening in her honor.
